The Williams Institute advances sexual orientation law and public policy through rigorous, independent research and scholarship, and disseminates it to judges, legislators, policymakers, media, and the public. A national think tank at UCLA Law, the Williams Institute produces high quality research with real-world relevance.

UCLA LGBT Resource Center
The UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Campus Resource Center serves as a tremendous resource for UCLA students, faculty, and staff. The Resource Center also includes a library, which is billed as the “largest of its kind at a college or university, with nearly 4000 books and periodicals written for and about LGBT people.”

Lavender Law
An annual program, this year being held in San Francisco. Lavendar Law features a full schedule regarding legal employment information for LGBT individuals. There is also an annual career fair aimed to welcome the diversity offered by LGBT individuals into the legal field.

Lambda Legal
A well-known national legal organization focused on protecting LGBT rights.

National Lesbian and Gay Law Association (NLGLA)
A national association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals, law students, activists, and affiliated lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender legal organizations. NLGLA promotes justice in and through the legal profession for the LGBT community in all its diversity.

Servicemembers Legal Defense Network
Working to overturn “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and to protect the rights of LGBT people who wish to serve in the U.S. military.
